About Kin Records
Kin Records offers a dedicated platform for families and clans to create a lasting archive of their heritage. We provide a structured, private, and permanent home for the essential information that defines a family, including its members, their connections to one another, and the values that carry through the generations.
Our journey began with a simple, powerful realization. Across Africa and in many parts of the world, vital family knowledge is often held in the memories of elders, scattered across phone contacts, or jotted down in notebooks that are easily lost. When an elder passes away, decades of irreplaceable family history can vanish in an instant.
To solve this, Kin Records provides a secure digital space where families can document their members, map relationships, organize family branches, and preserve important documents and photographs. You have complete control over who has permission to view the information. Our system is designed to support families of any size, from a small household of five to a large clan of several thousand.
While our platform is available to families worldwide, it was built in Kenya with the African context in mind. Our pricing is in Kenyan Shillings, with payments accepted through M-Pesa. The system is designed to accommodate the unique structures common in African families, such as extended family networks, clan affiliations, multiple branches, and other complex relationship types.
Kin Records is not a social network or a casual genealogy tool. It is a professional record-keeping system for families who believe their lineage is a legacy worth documenting, protecting, and preserving for the future.
